（４）タイワンカワニナを含むヌノメカワニナ(Melanoides tuberculata)
東アジアから中東、北アフリカにかけて熱帯〜亜熱帯の広い範囲が原産の巻き貝。西インド諸島やブラジルで生物学的防除のために導入されたが、高密度に達して在来の貝類を駆逐してしまうなどの問題が生じている。世界各地での分布拡大が相次ぎ、太平洋の島々、ニュージーランド、ヨーロッパ、アフリカ南部などで報告がある。国内では奄美諸島以南に分布していたが、近年愛知県や琵琶湖水系などで報告がある。北米では随伴の寄生虫の持ち込みにより在来の希少種、淡水魚への影響が問題となっている。原産地では有性生殖を行う個体群も存在するが、侵入個体群の多くは単為生殖を行い、１個体が侵入しただけでも定着する可能性がある。低温に弱いので本州などでは限られた範囲でしか増えられないと予測されるが、小笠原諸島に侵入した場合、在来の陸水産固有種オガサワラカワニナを駆逐してしまう可能性がある。
